A special mention to all the staff at Belfast City Council’s Musgrave Park this event would not have been possible without their assistance

MITRE is a charity based at Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast. Launched in 1991 it has the aim of ‘Making Musgrave Better’ for patients and staff by working to improve facilities at the hospital. Musgrave Park Hospital is the largest Orthopaedic unit in Europe.  It is also the regional centre in Northern Ireland for Spinal Cord rehabilitation, Rheumatology and Sports Medicine. MITRE is made up of a dedicated team of hospital staff and members of the community who come together to fundraise. Since being launched 19 years ago…. MITRE ,  has raised over £9 million for Musgrave Park Hospital and this has gone towards improvements in a number of key areas. In January 2012 MITRE  gave £1 million to the New Neurology Building at Musgrave Park Hopsital where 23 ex Forster Green patients are now happily settled and cared for.
